Spring Time

One of these chickens is not like the rest ... And it would be Max's chicken.

Off With His Hair!

He also got his first sucker today!
Max's hair hasn't gotten long, per se. It has just gotten out of control. His signature 'side flip' off of the left side of his head passed the cute stage about 3 months ago. Now that the rest of his hair has caught up with the extraneous curls, we decided it was time for Max to have his first haircut. I think all the ladies will still love him, (and vice versa). Check out the video for the story.

Playing games

We took a trip to the brand new Dave & Busters (Chuck E Cheese for big kids) on Tuesday. Max got involved in the game playing as well.

A Day at the Museum (Perot, that is)

Aunt Caitlyn and Uncle Hayden arrived last night to hang in the Big D. We spent today at the brand new Perot museum which is full of exhibits ranging from solar systems, human body, gems, and sports science to name a few. Here are some photos from the trip.

Even the escalator was FUN

There was plenty to look at in all the exhibits

February love

Since I didn't post on Valentine's like I planned, I thought I would close February with that post.

Max has made me some amazing gifts over his short 18 months of life. Ms. Nicole (Max's nanny and our dear friend) did a great job of making sure his little handprints were recorded. I was not looking forward to daycare knowing the art projects and holiday gifts just wouldn't be the same. However, his Academy did surprise me.

Pull down the little hand for a little surprise.
We also had to experience a first this Valentine's Day ... drafting valentine cards to Max's classmates. Since store bought cards aren't personal enough, I made cards that reflected Max's personality. Max loves pop up books, so I spent time cutting and folding paper valentines. They were a lot easier than you would think and I think the extra 20 minutes out of my day was worth it!

Lastly, daycare gave us some extra photos that were on display in the room for Valentine's Day. I took them to work to brighten my stressful days.

Play time in Wylie

We have been blessed with beautiful weather here which has allowed us to spend plenty of hours outside running around and being mischievous. The giggles that come from this little man when he runs just crack me up and the insistence to go down the big boy slide never let up.

Fun filled weekend

We had a fun filled weekend of just staying home and getting things done around the house. Max man has been keeping us both busy with his cute devilish toddler behavior. His new thing that he does is run over to you and then stomp on your feet while barefoot, but only after he misses a few times. He laughs and laughs. We are so blessed to have such a fun kid that is active and laughs 99% of the day. He has also become quite the helper around the house. He puts his toys in the trash and his trash in the sink. We are working on proper placement.
